The official Singapore launch of the PS3 Slim will be on 1 October, according to a Twitter message posted by the folks at GameAxis. The Slim will retail for SG$512, and comes with a one-year warranty provided by Sony Singapore.

I am starting to develop a reputation as "that guy who refuses to play against pubs" in the Steam L4D group I frequent. For every person on my friends list who is playing Left 4 Dead and pubstomping in Versus, you can rest assured that none of them will ever bother inviting me into their games.

Two members of the Steam L4D2 boycott group, Walking_Target and Agent of Chaos, were recently invited down to Valve's offices to get some hands-on experience with Left 4 Dead 2.

Only three more days to go until Operation Blackstorm commences. Eight teams have already registered for the tournament, with another eight vacant slots still available.

The annual Penny Arcade Expo 2009 is already underway. As promised by Valve, the Dark Carnival campaign is playable to the public at the expo. More screenshots and information about Left 4 Dead 2 have also been released.

The PS3 Slim has been officially released in Japan. Unfortunately, there is still no word on the exact date of the official local release here in Singapore.
