Machinima Festival at The Atrium@Orchard

MachinimAsia will be hosting a Machinima Festival at The Atrium@Orchard in conjunction with GreenFields06, a Creative Community Singapore event from the 24th of November to the 26th of November 2006. The festival will feature the best of machinima showreels from 2005 and 2006, live performances by the Electronic Music Lab music group based at the Centre for the Arts, National University of Singapore and an Xbox360 competition and giveaways.

Machinima is a new and exciting film genre featuring the usage of video games for making short films. The Asian debut of the Machinima Festival will feature montage of the best of 2005 and 2006 machinima showreels from all over the world in the Machinima Under the Stars segment.

For the first time ever, the Electronic Music Lab (EML) music group will be giving a live performance of original scores in tune with EML’s very own exclusively produced machinima music video clips. EML is a music group based at the Centre for the Arts, National University of Singapore that creates, records and experiments with electronic music.

There will also be an Xbox360 Project Gotham Racing 3 competition running throughout the event where the fastest racer will stand the chance to walk away with up to S$1000 worth of Xbox merchandise, including Xbox360 consoles and controllers. The best of the best will also win an invitation to the exclusive Machinimasia closing party.

25 November 2006, Saturday

26 November 2006, Sunday
5.30pm – 6pm – Talks & Presentations by Machinima Experts
7pm – 7.30pm – Electronic Music Lab
8pm – 8.30pm – Electronic Music Lab
