RageFaction, Knight-Mare take top spots at WCG.SG SAFRA League

[b]SINGAPORE[/b] – Counter-Strike 1.6 team RageFaction and DotA Allstars team Knight-Mare triumph over their opponents to claim S$500 each. Both teams will be seeded into the WCG 2007 Singapore National Finals.

In the Counter-Strike division, RageFaction defeated teamR in the semi-finals, then went on to defeat minnows Real-Gaming in the finals to clinch the WCG SAFRA League championship. teamR, who previously knocked out Team TitaNs in the quarter-final stage, defeated say Your prayers to secure the third placing.

For the DotA division, hot favourites Knight-Mare met Gambling Jokes in the finals. Although members of both teams were personal friends, the teams still took the match seriously. Knight-Mare triumphed over Gambling Jokes to take the top spot at the SAFRA League. Meanwhile, Team Royal defeated Sephi in the third placing match.

The winning team for both games walked away with S$500 worth of cash and prizes. They will also be seeded into the WCG 2007 Singapore National Finals, to be held in early August. The second and third placed teams received S$300 and S$100 respectively.
