SINGAPORE – Rapture Gaming introduced new substitution rules Saturday for the World Cyber Games Singapore Championship that will mainly affect DotA Allstars seeded teams.

Seeded teams are now allowed to make substitutions for the WCG 2007 Singapore National Finals (WCG.SG 2007 NF), as long as a minimum of three members of the original line up are retained.

Members of PAYM League seeded teams who are subbed out will not be allowed to take part in other PAYM League competitions, but will still be allowed to take part in the WCG.SG 2007 NF through the on-site Open Category qualification tournament.

However, members of campus preliminary seeded teams who are subbed out will not be able to take part in the WCG.SG 2007 NF.

In addition, members of teams who forfeit their seeded spot will all be barred from participating in the WCG.SG 2007 NF. The prizes won will be forfeited as well.

The new rules will mainly affect DotA Allstars teams who are currently seeded or trying for a seeded spot. The only other team games with seeds are Counter-Strike 1.6 and Gears of War, which has one seed each.

The new rules were announced on the E-Sports Championship website on Saturday night. Other rules related to the ongoing PAYM League were also announced.
