I hurried back from writing the previous report to see Micronology already 20 minutes into the game against India. I left about 10 minutes later before the game was over, and Micronology is probably going to trample over India.
Update: Micronology has indeed won nP, sending them to the playoff stages.
Of course, there are many turnaround games in DotA, but rest assured that if Micronology somehow loses this game after what I’ve seen, there will be a much longer report detailing how a good team can absolutely mess up a game after such a huge advantage. That probably won’t happen though.
Quick to learn, Micronology this time had their first two picks being Bristleback and Nerubian Assassin doing exactly what XcN had done to them, followed by PotM, Shadow Fiend, and Zeus. India’s representatives, Team nP (whom I will now refer to as India to avoid mixing up the team name with the school) drafted QoP, Leshrac, Lord of Avernus, Warlock, and Enchantress.
Last I checked, Micronology was madly catching India’s heroes all around the map, and were already on an owning spree, with India unable to take down even a single hero from Micronology. Dk-MaG3’s Bristleback looks like he’ll be getting a 25 minute Heart, Bouncy’s PotM has BoT and a Void Stone at 25 minutes, and hyhy’s Shadow Fiend, adding insult to injury for team India, has, aside from the usual BoT, Dagger, and Bottle, gotten an Eul’s Sceptre, which makes for some nice Eul-Arrow-Requiem moments for the crowd to cheer at but otherwise is simply disgusting overkill.
I expect to see Micronology having already won when I return to the competition area, unless they are fountain camping ™ again. Seeing Micronology’s performance against XcN though, leaves one having plenty of doubts on whether Micronology will be able to reach the finals in ACG… but of course one can always hope.
