The Cyberathelete Professional League has signed an agreement with Valve Corporation, giving them rights to hold competitions featuring Valve games in Singapore.
The [url=http://www.thecpl.com/?p=1861]agreement[/url] signals that the CPL will make its way to Singapore shores some time in next 3 years, before the agreement expires in 2010. The CPL last came to Singapore last year as part of its 2006 World Season.
Licensing rights to hold competitions in the USA, China, South Korea, Canada, South Africa, Sweden, Italy and Brazil were also acquired as part of the agreement.
The following games were included in the agreement: Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Team Fortress Classic and Team Fortress 2.
