Team Mizen and team xqR will meet in the finals of the GG-Game Asia DotA Championship Singapore leg to determine who will be Singapore’s representative at the next stage of the competition.
Mizen won their quarter-final match against team dsd, who recently returned to the competitive DotA scene, in slightly less than an hour with a line up that included Silencer, Shadow Fiend, Beastmaster, Nerubian Assassin and Priestess of the Moon.
In the semi-finals, Mizen played against Team X3M in a best of 3 format. Mizen promptly dispatched Team X3M in the semi-finals with a score of 2-0 sending them into the finals of the ADC. X3M team captain Zilch said that this was the first time Team X3M played an Extended League (-xl) draft game, so they were not too familiar at the drafting process. The -xl draft game format has not yet been used in a Singapore lan competition.
A quick note before we go on: Mizen should really be simply called team Zenith now that team Micronology has been disbanded. hyhy and dk-mag3, former Micronology players, have joined Zenith after their former team disbanded.
In the other half of the bracket, team xqR beat team FOW in the quarter-finals and then proceeded to win team GG[U] 2-0 in the semi-finals. xqR defeated both opponents within 40 minutes.
The current bracket from quarter-finals onwards is included below. Full bracket available at GG-Game.
