Singapore Sword has been seeded into the quarter-finals of the inaugural Championship Gaming Series World Final, netting the team at least US$30,000 (S$43,200) in prize money.

As the top team at the CGS Pan-Asian Final, Singapore Sword was seeded directly into the top eight, netting them the US$30,000 prize money that accompanies a top eight finish.

A total of twelve CGS teams from around the world will be taking part in the 6 to 14 December CGS World Final, to be held at the Sony Studios in Los Angeles, USA.

GameSync understands that the team is confident of defeating their first opponent, which will be either Birmingham Salvo or Rio Sinistro. If Singapore Sword proceeds to the semi-finals, they will more than double their winnings to US$70,000 (S$100,800).

Team representatives will also have the chance to take home additional prize money from the Individual World Final, where the representatives will compete individually in each game title instead of as a team. The winner of each game title will take home US$5,000 (S$7,200).
