KODE5 Southeast Asia will be held in a single-elimination format instead of double-elimination, according to the local organizers of the regional qualifier.
This change came after an overwhelming number of participants signed up to take part in the Southeast Asia regional qualifier. According to the organizers, a total of 28 teams and players for both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft III are taking part, surpassing the number of participants at previous KODE5 qualifiers.
In order to meet time constraints and "popular demand", the organizers decided to change the format to single-elimination.
KODE5 SEA will be taking place over the next 3 days, from Friday, 14 December 2007 to Sunday, 16 December 2007, at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore.
