Team stfAzeu`, a mixed team consisting of players from fAzeTheMusic and sio the floor united, emerged as the champions of the Compaq AMD Pro-Gaming League 2007/08 DotA Allstars Open Category after defeating FooSa in the finals.
stfAzeu` defeated FooSa in 1 hour 12 minute match that saw FooSa desperately defending in the last 20 minutes, being unable to leave their base. stfAzeu` was forced to slowly wear away FooSa’s defense, playing a high attrition game, accounting for the hero kill margin of 38-26 in FooSa’s favour.
Consisting of Jon “LSmurF-`” Lim, Hong Wu “dEviLici0us`”, Chong “EnvY-`” Long Quan, Ivan “`RavE-” Lee, Eric “riCz<3mich" Cheong and Darren "|2en" Tan, stfAzeu` represents the best of players from both fAze and stfu`. The other combined team was knocked out earlier by dark horse *iCoN, but stfAzeu` managed to take revenge for their comrades.
stfAzeu` were happy and delighted with their win, and team members felt that apart from their first game where their opponent’s draft caught them by surprise, the rest of the tournament was smooth sailing and did not pose much problems.
Meanwhile, in the 3rd/4th placing match, SwiFt defeated dark horse *iCoN in a 1 hour game with a hero kill margin of 38-28.
stfAzeu` walks away with S$1,000 in prize month, while runner-up FooSa takes home S$500 and third placed SwiFt earned S$250. 4th to 8th placed teams earned S$125 each.
