Activision announces DJ Hero, Band Hero, Guitar Hero 5

Activision has announced the release of DJ Hero, Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5 this fall for the North American market.

DJ Hero will feature a new hardware turntable controller and diverse music genres including hip-hop, R&B, Motown, electronica and dance. The press release also states that “songs and music from world’s most exciting artists and DJs” will be featured in the game, but gave no other details.

Band Hero appears to be a family-oriented version of Guitar Hero World Tour featuring family-friendly top-40 hits, while Guitar Hero 5 will continue to feature rock and roll artists and bands.

Few details are available, but you can take a look at the DJ Hero and Guitar Hero websites.

Yeah. I’m intrigued by DJ Hero personally, apparently some DJs have tried the game or were involved in its creation and thought that it was a great game. I guess we’ll have to wait and see when it goes gold.
