If you downloaded drivers for your Razer products from the Razer official support website last weekend, you might have inadvertantly gotten your computer infected by a hard to detect malware.
Starting from 19 September up till today, device drivers offered for download at the Razer support site were infected with a Trojan virus.
The Trojan delivered the original installer but then went on to drop a copy of WORM.ASPXOR.AB into the System directory, according to anti-virus company Trend Micro’s Counter Measures blog.
Razer has rectified the issue and recommends that those who downloaded or installed device drivers or firmware from 19 September onward should perform an anti-virus scan of their system.
