Licence2Play Dota 2 tournament details released, registration open

License 2 Play StarHub Dota 2 Singapore Invitational

Remember the Dota 2 tournament which we reported was going happen from 2 to 4 December at Licence2Play? The full event schedule for the StarHub-Digital Life DOTA 2 Open Challenge 2011 has been released, along with team registration details for those interested in participating.

For spectators, the important thing to note is that the tournament will only run on Friday and Sunday, which means you can give Licence2Play the skip on Saturday if all you’re interested in is the Dota 2 tournament.

For potential participants, registration is available through the StarHub Entertainment Facebook page. While there are eight slots available, you’ll have to win a popularity contest to get invited to take part. You’ll need to get your fans and friends to vote for you if you want to stand any chance of participating. Be warned, it’s a fairly troublesome process: you’ll need to get everyone to like both the StarHub Entertainment and Digital Life Facebook pages before they can vote for you.

In any case, the StarHub-Digital Life Dota 2 Open Challenge will be the first Dota 2 live tournament in Singapore, giving those who have yet to get into the Dota 2 beta a chance to view the game for themselves.
