Flash eSports team members Marcus “Revenant” Tan and Wen-Jun “hibidi” Chiang have emerged champions in both the StarCraft II and FIFA 12 tournaments at the Spotgamers e-Sport League Season 1 grand finals, held over the weekend at the Cyberfusion cybercafe in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Revenant defeated Cobo, who represented Malaysian esports team Duskbin, 2-1 in the StarCraft II finals. Flash eSports’s Ian “Muse” Ang also participated but was knocked out by team mate Revenant in the quarter-finals.
hibidi defeated [R|||B]Arroyos 1-3, 1-0, 1-1 (4-1 on penalty kicks), for an aggregate of 2-1 in the FIFA 12finals. Flash eSports’s Mohamed “Xtr3me3” Phirkhan ended his run in the top 16 after being defeated by Malaysia’s [myfes]Warrior 3-0.
Revenant and hibidi win for themselves RM1000 (S$410) each while Muse receives RM150 (S$62) for placing top 8 and Xtr3me3 RM75 (S$31) for placing in the top 16 of their respective tournaments.
