Welcome to the first ever Warcraft Tuesday! Well actually it’s already Wednesday now, but forgive me, I only hit upon this idea late on Tuesday night and couldn’t rush it out by then. Anyway, Warcraft Tuesday aims to bring all the important and interesting news in Blizzard’s Warcraft universe and franchise over the past week to our readers in one summarized update. World of Warcraft
The Burning Crusade Cinematic Intro was unveiled by Blizzard last Wednesday. According to the official website, “the trailer offers an epic cinematic introduction of the Blood Elves and Draenei, as well as a foreboding message from Illidan Stormrage”.
In other news, Nethaera, the Community Manager famous for her candle avatar on the official forums, has confirmed that there are plans for a second expansion. She had the following to say: “Yes, we are working on plans. No, I can’t tell you what they are, how far they are or what timeline we are looking at. Sorry. :(”
Burning Crusade content previews abound on the World of Raids forums this last week. A video of the Magtheridon encounter was posted, as well as a preview of the Gruul’s Lair 25 man raid instance. Tier 5 armor screenshots have also been posted.
Lastly, today’s maintenance is extended, and will begin on Tuesday, 19th December 7:00 PM and end by Wednesday, 20th December 03:00 AM Singapore time (GMT +8).
Defense of the Ancients
On the home front, registration for Season 3 of the Rapture Gaming DOTA League closes today at 23:59 PM. This season will be played at the newly renovated Hougang Festival Market from the 24th of December to the 31st of December, with prizes of up to S$1,750.00 in cash up for grabs.
Registration for the Compaq AMD Pro-Gaming League Winter Season DOTA category is also now closed as all slots have been filled up. This is rather fast, as registration opened only on the 11th of December, and the dateline for registration is actually on the 29th of December. Looks like the CAPL DOTA competitions are amongst the hottest events in the Singapore e-sports calendar.
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
According to ddesminee of Warcraft Singapore, a show match has been confirmed during the Rapture Gaming DOTA League at Hougang Market. Players taking part are fsk3.GosuBay, RF | TrueRaiN, RF | ShanA and TitaNs.Abuse.
Also, the CAPL Winter Season TFT category is still open for registration, until the 29th of December.
