Singapore team Team Tammy Tang (Truely) (TT_TT) has been knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the fifth edition of Prime Defending 5, an international DotA tournament organized by Danish-based international professional e-sports outfit Meet Your Makers (MYM).
TT_TT got through to the quarter-final stage after receiving a default win from top 16 stage opponents Team Pandemic (tPD). tPD had been unable to field a full team by the end of Saturday and were forced to forfeit the match, handing TT_TT a walkover.
TT_TT then proceeded to the next round, where they faced top Romanian team The Elder Gods (TeG). TT_TT put up fierce resistance to their opponents, with TeG only able to overcome them after 106 minutes.
According to the match report MYM DotA trial admin ”underminer”, the game was initially in favour of TeG. However, TT_TT managed to put up a spirited comeback and evened out the odds. However, TeG recovered from losing the advantage, farming Aegis and BoTs for all their heroes and taking down TT_TT eventually.
The top eight finish in MYM PriDe 5 by TT_TT is the best finish in an international tournament yet by a Singaporean or an Asian team.
TT_TT is a mix of Singapore players, consisting of Zenith regulars Anthony “AntSharK” Moh, Daryl “Iceiceice” Koh and Joshua “ToFuBoi” Tan, Jovi “TruEColdRain” Sen Joon and Wong “NutZ” Jeng Yih from Eternity (ETNY) and all-female DotA team Asterisk*’s leader, Tammy “furryfish” Tang.
