Denmark-based professional e-sports outfit Meet Your Makers have organized a 43 nation DotA Allstars tournament to be held online over the next few weeks.
The MYM Prime Nations tournament will see the teams from Columbia, Kazakhstan, Korea and Pakistan participating in a mini-playoff over the weekend to determine which team will take the last slot.
Thereafter, 40 countries will play in a group stage consisting 8 groups of 5. The top 2 countries in each group will proceed to the double elimination playoffs.
Southeast Asian DotA powerhouses Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore are all represented in the tournament. Philippines are in Group 2, while Malaysia and Singapore are both in Group 8.
Michael ‘Season_of_mist’ Berberian, one of the organizers for the MYM Prime Nations tournament, was extremely happy with the overwhelming international response so far.
He wrote, “… Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Chile, New [Z]ealand, China… This is truly an international event and [proves] that the [phenomenon] is without borders.”
