SINGAPORE – The Compaq AMD Pro-gaming League will most likely hold the upcoming Summer Season in two weeks time, according to sources within Rapture Gaming.
UPDATE (30 June 2007): CAPL 2007/08 Summer Season has been confirmed for 14-15 and 21-22 July 2007, pending registration response. If significantly fewer than 64 teams sign up for the Open Category, the Summer Season might be postponed.
While no news has been posted on either the CAPL or E-Sports Championship websites, sources within Rapture Gaming have stated that the Summer Season will most likely be held on the weekends of 14 to 15 and 21 to 22 July 2007.
If this is confirmed, the Summer Season will kick off during a brief break in the ongoing World Cyber Games PAYM League on 14 to 15 July, with the finals to be held on 21 July 2007.
The finals will clash with the WCG PAYM League, which will be visiting the Sengkang Community Club on that weekend.
Gamers Inc`Alpha, Micronology and Gamers Inc`Alpha have all been seeded into the WCG Singapore National Finals and should be participating in the Summer Season’s Elite Category.
Whether the other DotA Allstars powerhouses will give up the chance to gain a seeding into the top 32 at the Singapore National Finals to take part in the CAPL 2007/08 Summer Season remain to be seen.
