[b]SINGAPORE[/b] – It was a heartbreaking moment to watch as Singapore DotA Allstars representative Micronology’s Frozen Throne went down against China’s Clan World Elites at the quarter-final stage of the World Cyber Games 2007 Asian Championships.
Micronology had a [url=http://www.gamesync.net/2007/08/04/news/micronology-off-to-rocky-start-in-wcg-asian-championship]rocky start[/url] to the Asian Championships as they lost to Indonesia’s XcN in the first round of the Group Stage.
Things were looking up however when Micronology rebounded strongly from their early loss to [url=http://www.gamesync.net/2007/08/04/news/micronology-probably-tramples-over-india]defeat India’s nP[/url] convincingly, booking themselves a place into the Elimination Stage.
Unfortunately, Micronology did not maintain their momentum and went down against Clan World Elites. Micronology put up fierce resistance right up till the last moment, when their Frozen Throne went down. (Match report to be posted later)
The large crowd of spectators that had gathered to watch Micronology dispersed quietly after the match concluded. The players themselves were visibly distraught.
