Gachapon and Wrath defeated their opponents to book a berth into the World Gamemaster Tournament 2007 Singapore Finals this afternoon at the WGT.SG 2007 qualifiers at the Games Convention Asia.
Gachapon won Knightmare in a 1 hour 14 minute game with a hero score of 41 to 22, while Wrath won Gaming Giants`Alpha in a 1 hour 8 minute game with a hero score of 38 to 27.
What is striking is that both winning teams won the coin toss to take first pick, and both took Bristleback as the first hero. Wrath picked Nerubian Assassin as their second hero, while Gachapon picked Nerubian Assassin as their fourth hero.
The Bristleback and Nerubian Assassin heroes have been growing in popularity ever since the World Cyber Games 2007 Asian Championships, where DotA Allstars champions team Clan World Elites from China used the two to good effect in the finals.
The WGT.SG Finals will be held at Funan DigitaLife Mall from 27 to 30 September 2007.
