The Championship Gaming Series confirmed that the Pan-Asian Final will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 15 to 18 in a press release yesterday.
Six CGS teams – China, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Singapore and Sydney – will meet at the Pan-Asian Final. The top four teams will earn for themselves a one-year, US$30,000 (S$45,000) contract for each player, while the team manager will receive a salary of US$50,000 (S$75,000).
The top four teams will also earn the right to travel to Los Angeles, USA, for the CGS 2007 World Championship. With a chance to grab a portion of a massive prize pool of some US$1,000,000 (S$1,500,000) at stake, the competition at the Pan-Asian Final is bound to be intense.
“We have representation from the leading countries in e-sports and the best gaming talent throughout Asia, Australia and the Middle East,” said CGS Commissioner Andy Reif. “The Pan-Asian Final will be an intense competition as players and their managers fight it out to see who will represent their countries at the CGS 2007 World Championship and vie for the title of World Champion.”
