Micronology and Zenith have booked berths into the World Gamemaster Tournament 2007 Singapore Finals after coming out tops at the qualifiers which concluded this evening at the Funan DigitaLife Mall.
The day’s matches were all lopsided affairs, with one side winning over the other about an hour and with a convincing hero kill margin. Zenith won GG[U].M^bao. 47 to 9, then defeated Knight-Mare in the finals 25 to 10. Revive won X[t]C X[t]C rEfOrmMeD by a margin of 51 to 12 before being defeated by Micronology in the finals 54 to 22.
The exception was the match between Malaysian team DNA-SK and Knight-Mare. Knight-Mare won the match with a hero kill margin of just 39 to 32. It was clear that Knight-Mare had been watching DNA-SK on day 1. They took Lina as their first pick, denying DNA-SK’s best performing hero in their Thursday against Synergy. DotaSG’s jianhao reports that the match started out well for DNA-SK, but they lost out eventually in the late game when everyone bought Manta Styles.
Micronology and Zenith will join 6 other teams, including defending champion xqR, in the Finals tomorrow to determine who will be crowned the champion of WGT.SG 07.
