Impreza defeated )DsD(, while Zenith will face Gachapon in the semi-finals of the Compaq AMD Pro-Gaming League 2007/08 Winter Season Elite Category DotA Allstars tournament.
Knightmare renamed themselves to Impreza after Hengky from dN- and TruE from Micronology join up after their teams disbanded a few months ago. Since then, Impreza has made a splash. Making their first appearance in Meet Your Makers’ Prime Defending 8 tournament, Impreza went undefeated in the qualifier stage and were knocked out in the group stages with a 3 win, 3 loss record.
Already defeating .-X3- 32-19 in the first round and n3mesis 48-31 in the quarter-finals, Impreza has just defeated )DsD( 21-14 in 55 minutes to proceed to the top 4.
However, the match-up that everyone will be looking forward to is the rematch between Gachapon and Zenith. During the Autumn Season Elite Category, both sides met in the first round. Gachapon put up an extremely hard fight before going down in the 118th minute, defending so well that they forced Zenith to adopt suicide tactics to rax Gachapon’s base, ending the game with 61 hero kills compared to Zenith’s 31.
With Gachapon already making waves by upsetting Gaming Giants`Alpha in just 49 minutes and a 26-15 margin during the first round of today’s Elite Category tournament, chances are high for Gachapon to hold their own against Singapore’s current top team, Zenith. With some luck, they might even pull off a victory.
