KODE5 has announced Greece as the next country the international e-sports tournament will be heading to, although only Counter-Strike 1.6 and not Warcraft III will be played.
BattleGrounds Gaming Stations will be holding 8 qualifier events around Greece in the last week of February and first week of March, with the Greece Regional Finals to be held on 8 and 9 March 2008. View the official announcement at kode5.com for more details.
KODE5 has blazed a trail through countries which traditionally have not been the host of large e-sport events, such as Japan, Ukraine and South Africa. The location of the Global Finals has been widely rumoured to be Moscow, Russia, but no official announcement has been made to date.
