Help send our champions to the WCG 2008 Grand Finals

They may have won the 2008 World Cyber Games Singapore National Final and secured a spot to represent Singapore at the Grand Finals in Cologne, Germany, but they still have one last huddle to face – a lack of funds for the airfare and hotel stay! This is where you can help.

The movement started with Wilson "Tetra" Chia’s effort to raise funds for his friend and VF5 runner-up Danny Koo to make the trip to Germany. Now, the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) is helping to faciliate a donation drive for the other champions left stranded.

Every year, a number of WCG winners do not get to go overseas due to lack of funds to make the overseas trip – only a few of the champions get air tickets and accomodation as part of their prize package. Last year, Mohamed "Xtr3me3" Phirkan managed to get Nanyang Polytechnic to sponsor his trip to Seattle, USA for the Grand Final. Others were not as lucky.

This is the first time in which the public has a chance to make a difference. For more information on how to donate, please visit SCOGA’s SG Champs Fund Raising Campaign website. The winners who are hopeful to receive your support are:
