CS:GO now out in Southeast Asian cyber cafes

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive can now be played at cyber cafes in Southeast Asia, Valve’s regional distributor e-Club Malaysia announced on Saturday.

The game will be available at cyber cafes in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei, Cambodia, and Vietnam which are part of the Valve Cybercafe Program.

Valve is targeting an official 21 August release for CS:GO, with the game to be available only through the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and Steam (for both PC and Mac) for about US$15 (S$20).

CS:GO will be the latest instalment in a series spanning 13 years, which all started when the original Counter-Strike was released as a beta modification for Half-Life on 1 August 1999.
