SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS BATTLE IT OUT FOR PRESTIGIOUS POSITIONS

SINGAPORE, 30 AUGUST 2005 – At yesterday’s Samsung Campus Gaming Festival, 89 students from seven secondary schools converged to battle for places in the World Cyber Games 2005 (WCG2005) Singapore National Final.
Participants fought it out in four popular cyber games to be played at the National Final: DOTA All-stars, Need for
Speed Underground 2, Counter-Strike Source and Warcraft III.
The champion of each category won for themselves a Samsung MP3 Player and a coveted seeded position in the WCG2005 Singapore National Final to be held from September 9-11. The National Final is where they will compete for a dream ticket to represent Singapore in the WCG2005 Grand Finals, also to be held in Singapore from November 16-20.
