Today is the closing date for registration to compete in the upcoming Intel Gaming Cup cybercafe round at H.I.G.H. Yet, at the time of writing, there are still 10 slots left open.
Team Zenith’s “Ant” believes he has an explanation: “Cause it clashes with inter-sch!” Team xqR leader and regular GameSync commentator Wilson Tang, also known as “d4rkw1sH”, was prevented from signing due to his prior participation in the Republic Polytechnic event. He elaborated, “If I sign up I would have to forfeit the RP IGC money! And that’s unfair to the other members in my team.”
However, DotaSG community member “Alkaiser79” just can’t understand the lack of interest for the upcoming event. He said, “Even after losing you still have another chance to play at the Open category. Which means you pay once to play 2 times!”
Indeed, as explained earlier by Rapture Gaming spokesperson Andy Tan, losing teams for both the cybercafe round as well as the community centre round will be automatically seeded into the Finals Open event for a second shot at qualifying for the Grand Finals at no additional fee.
Registration for the H.I.G.H event remains open until the end of today and costs all of S$50 for two chances at qualifying for the Grand Finals. That is, if you need the second chance.
