Singapore team impreZa triumphed over Thailand side EffiCienCy in the first round of Meet Your Makers Prime Defending 8. Match report after the jump.
impreZa, playing on the Sentinel side, picked Shadow Fiend, Spectre, Tormented Soul, Sandking and Lina Inverse. SK and Lina took the top lane, SF soloed middle lane, while Spectre and TS took the bottom lane.
Meanwhile EFFC|, playing on the Scourge side, picked Lightning Revenant, Viper, Queen of Pain, Skeleton King and Zeus. Skeleton King and Zeus took the top lane, LR and Viper took the middle lane, while QOP soloed bottom.
SK and Lina were doing well at the start of the game, taking first blood on the Zeus. On the other hand, SF faced difficulties against Viper and LR. Viper was harassing, while LR was farming. QOP was doing well for Scourge at the bottom lane. At this point of time, EFFC| on the Scourge side seemed to have the upper hand, wining control of 2 out of the 3 lanes.
However, the impreZa on Sentinel started moving around the map, using Scrolls of Town Portals to teleport to and assist their allies to even up the kills. From early to mid-game, the kills for both teams were pretty even. A point to note was that although TS, Lina and Sandking did not have many big items (ie no Dagger of Escape on Sandking, TS warding the map), Spectre and SF were significantly richer than most of the Scourge side.
When the game proceeded to the late game stage, the difference in the gold farmed by both sides showed. impreZa’s end gamer was able to carry the game and team impreZa took down the scourge throne in 53 mins.
