Wuhan Dragon and Sydney Underground are through to the 2008 Championship Gaming Series World Finals after Seoul Jinhwa and Kuala Lumpur Taufan fell against them in the semi-finals of the Pan-Asia Finals.
Wuhan did not score huge victories against Seoul, but winning by two to three points in nearly all categories was enough to hand them the match with a 26-18 scoreline. A bright spot for Seoul was sarafan’s narrow 5-4 victory over Wuhan’s Kindfox in Dead or Alive Male. Both players are recognized as some of the best on the world stage.
In the other semi-final, Sydney totally dominated Kuala Lumpur 30-8 in the 2008 Pan-Asia Finals most skewed final match score to date. KL Taufan’s FIFA representative Si_jali was the only performer, winning 2-0 against Sydney’s Haroutig10.
The two teams will be making their way to the United States in July for the World Finals. In addition, they will be the only two fully salaried teams from the Asia Pacific region for the 2008 CGS season.
