Team Soshi winning the SA tournament
Team Soshi emerged from a pack of over 32 teams to take home S$2,500 in cash and prizes last Saturday at the Full Fire Assault Operations tournament for Asiasoft’s MMO first-person shooter Sudden Attack.
The S$10,000 prize purse tournament attracted veteran FPS teams from many other game communities. Players from Call of Duty team bf.nut and Team Fortress 2 team -V- Co. were spotted at the event.
However, the day belonged to those who had cut their teeth on Sudden Attack from the start, with 3 of the top 4 teams being new to the competitive community.
Team SWAT placed second, while Team Korea, a group made out of 2 Koreans, 2 Singaporeans and a Chinese national, came in third. Wondernut, comprising of some bf.nut players, came in fourth. More information on prizes and pictures are available here.
For those who missed out on the tournament, more will take place weekly from next month at Asiasoft @Cafe partner cybercafes. More details will be released in the coming weeks.
