Team Indomitable to organize weekly CS:S challenge

Team Indomitable is looking for teams to challenge them in the “NEXT” Counter-Strike:Source challenge every Saturday starting from today at the Game Haven cybercafe. Here’s what sets this apart from other simple LAN scrims: teams who beat them will walk away with S$50 in cash.

Up to three teams a week will be able to challenge Team Indomitable for the money. More details on how to book a challenge slot are available at Team Indomitable’s website.

According to Team Indomitable, the “NEXT” challenge is a pilot project that will last for at least a month. If response is good, the team might have other plans in store.

What is certain, however, is that Team Indomitable will be making a LAN League happen in November. According to team member Edwin “Shifty” Lee, the league is still in the works but it “will happen”.

“The challenge is supposed to excite the community, get them interested in the game again,” said Shifty. “Once the community becomes more active, we will definitely see a great competition coming in November.”

It’s no secret that the CS:S scene in Singapore has been stagnant for a long time. Team Indomitable hopes to change all of that with their initiatives.

“We love the game and hate to see it die,” said Shifty. “We see the potential of this game and wanted to re-ignite the fire within the community.”
