Battlefield Fridays, the weekly community-run fighting games event, will resume this Friday, 13 January after a two-month break with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Soulcalibur IV as featured titles according to a post on the official BFF Facebook page.
The venue will be at E2Max@Cine-L9 and there will be a cover charge of S$5 per person, which will go towards covering the venue rental fee. The entry fee covers four hours of gaming from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, with arcade sticks provided. Those who prefer using gamepads will have to bring their own equipment and cables.
Unlike previous Battlefield Fridays, there will be no official prize tournament. However, depending on demand, there may be an impromptu prizeless tournament according to tournament organiser Curren “Tax” Seow.
Playing a network game from home is great and all, but the true fighting games experience is to be found in the hot seat mano-a-mano battle of wits and getting to know the community. Do go and lend them your support!
