TitaNs eSports was eliminated by Fnatic this morning in the quarter-final of the fourth Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge held in Chengdu, China.
Singapore-based TitaNs put up a strong fight against Fnatic, even defeating the Swedish team 16-12 on de_nuke. However, Fnatic was able to get their game together and mop up TitaNs 16-1 on de_dust2 and 16-3 on de_train to win the best of three confrontation 2-1 and proceed to the semi-finals. (Match details)
TitaNs will come home with US$1,500 for their finishing.
Regardless of their prize money, this is one of the best showings for Singapore and even the Southeast Asian Counter-Strike 1.6 scene ever in an international competition.
