Update: The Starhub TF2 servers are now back online.
All the Starhub Team Fortress 2 public servers — with the exception of private match servers — were abruptly taken offline yesterday, leaving gamers with few alternatives to go to for their TF2 fix.
According to gamers that GameSync.net spoke with, the Starhub servers were already offline by 12.30pm. The servers were still offline at the time of writing.
The administrator of the Starhub TF2 servers, “Hammifer”, did not respond to GameSync’s queries.
This will be the second time this year that the Starhub TF2 servers have been taken down. Previously, the servers went down due to maintenance costs being too prohibitive to sustain the free service.
The GameSync.net TF2 server has been made a public server temporarily. The IP address is 203.116.41.180:27040.
