4Kings, one of Europe’s top e-sports teams, has disbanded its Warcraft III team due to "lack of players and other reasons", according to an announcement made by 4K WC3 news reporter Cassandra Ng.
The decision comes after over a year of 4K losing key players. GGL Wire reports that back in November 2006, Dae "FoV" Hui Cho left to sign with a team in China, while Olav "Creolophus" Undheim, after winning the World Cyber Games 2007 gold, confirmed that he would be retiring from e-sports permanently to pursue his studies in medicine.
4K WC3 squad’s remaining members, Grubby and LiiLD.C, as well as manager Trimble and 4K Director Toby have posted emotional parting statements in the announcement on the 4K website, with most expressing reluctance on having to part with 4K, as well as remembering the good times spent together.
