Steam mobile client now available for iOS and Android devices

In case you haven’t heard yet, the Steam mobile app for iOS and Android devices was released to the public last week after a short closed beta test.

Built natively for both iPhones/iPads and Android devices, the Steam app allows you to chat with your Steam friends, browse community groups and user profiles and stay up-to-date on the latest Steam sales (oh, my poor wallet!) and more.

The Steam mobile app allows you to sign into Steam on your phone while still remaining signed in on your computer. That’s great news for those who want to continue chatting with their friends on-the-go while leaving Steam to download content on their home computers.

Unfortunately, the mobile app does not yet support group chats, which is an essential feature for myself.

The Steam mobile app can be downloaded through either the Apple App Store or the Android Market — depending on your device of course — free of charge.
