The games line-up and event venue for the Road to EVO 2012 Southeast Asia Major were announced today in a press release issued by the organisers.
The Southeast Asia Major — part of the lead-up to EVO 2012, the largest and longest-running fighting games tournament in the world — will be held at the Clementi Community Club on 9 and 10 June, alongside the Clementi Games Fest.
Unlike last year, EVO participants will get to enjoy the tournament experience in the comfort of the recently renovated community centre’s new fully air-conditioned multi-purpose hall.
Five fighting games will feature at the event: Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, King of Fighters XIII, Street Fighter X Tekken and Soulcalibur V.
In addition, FIFA 12 will feature as a side event. There will also be family oriented carnival activities for all ages to enjoy.
The event is open to all local and international competitors to compete and acquire EVO points for their overall ranking and seeding into the 6 to 8 July EVO grand finals in Las Vegas, USA.
The Southeast Asia Major is jointly-organised by the Singapore Cybersports & Online Games Association, Clementi Community Centre (Friends of Clementi) and the Clementi Youth Executive Committee.
