The other eight teams fought out their matches today at the Intel Gaming Cup 2007 held at Nanyang Polytechnic, with Team Hengky and NICE ONE LAR coming out top of the field today. They will face each other tomorrow in the finals to see who will earn the right to be seeded into the Intel Gaming Cup grand finals, to be played some time during the March school holidays.
Ant and Jerome, the casters for today’s matches, thrilled the spectators with their detailed and insightful commentary and very exciting chemistry, which the spectators clearly enjoyed. The day’s competition was mostly uneventful, marred only by minor incidents including the caster’s PC shutting down midway during a live match commentary, and oRz turning up almost one and a half hours late for their match due to miscommunication.
Tomorrow will be the finals for the Nanyang Polytechnic leg of Intel Gaming Cup 2007, featuring matchups between Eternity and flowersalt, yesterday’s top teams, as well as Team Hengky and NICE ONE LAR. Word has it that flowersalt could be forced to pull out of the final tomorrow as one of their players, ToFuBoi, is a key player in Zenith and will be taking part in the CAPL Elites Category preliminaries, which is to be held tomorrow as well. If this happens, Eternity will have a walkover and be automatically seeded into the grand finals, as well as receive the $200 prize money for making it into the grand finals.
